The Oak Point trail runs through mature forest and varied ecosystems until reaching the aptly named Oak Point. The point is notch of land that extends to the bog. The site is a former logging camp. Just over 2.5 total miles the trails runs to the bog and back the parking lot. When you’re done at Oak Point and think you might be ready for more hiking, the Nature Conservancy’s Sunkhaze-Bradley corridor hiking trailhead is about 25 yards north of the Oak Point parking lot.
The refuge is open year round to hunting, wearing safety orange is recommended. In the summer, use bug protection!
