Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is open to the public from sun up to sun down and is managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. About the Friends

The Friends of Sunkhaze Meadows is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge and the greater Milford, Maine community. The Friends’ Mission is to support the long term health of the refuge through environmental education especially to youth and families.

Trails

Sunkhaze Meadows offers year around parking at three volunteer maintained trails located on the County Road in Milford, Maine. Enjoy our all-ages interactive trail maps describing the lore, ecosystems, plants and animals that comprise Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.

an older map version of the trail shows some topo features although the Buzzy Brook trails on the Stud Mill Road are no longer maintained for hiking.
